Guzman Elected President of NYGAP

Nazareth College is pleased to announce that Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, Tonya E. Guzman, has been elected President of New York Graduate Admissions Professionals (NYGAP), which brings together professionals from Central and Western New York and is devoted to the concerns of individuals working in the field of graduate admissions, recruitment, and student services.

Guzman’s term took effect in April of 2015. Previously, she served as interim president from November 2014 through her recent election as president, and vice president from April 2013 - November 2014.

NYGAP was founded in 2007 to bring together graduate admissions professionals from the Central and Western New York area. In 2008, the group expanded to include graduate enrollment professionals from all of New York State. NYGAP is an officially sanctioned state chapter of The Association for Graduate Enrollment Management. The mission of NYGAP is to foster excellence in graduate enrollment in New York State through collaborative and strategic professional engagement.
