Nazareth College Students Honored with RACCE Outstanding Adult Students Award

Nazareth College is proud to announce Jesse Cruz, Ronald Hughes and Yadira Rivera as Nazareth’s representatives in winning the Rochester Area Colleges Continuing Education (RACCE) award.

The RACCE award is given to candidates who exemplify a strong commitment to higher education despite the unique challenges adult learners may face. Eligibility for the awards requires not only scholastic excellence, but also a demonstrated ability by the candidates to balance personal and professional responsibilities while working towards completing their degree.

Jesse Cruz is a veteran, transfer student from Finger Lakes Community College and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Community Youth Development. Cruz will receive his degree from Nazareth College in May 2016.

Ronald Hughes is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Hughes, a veteran and transfer student was nominated by Professor Estella Evans. He will graduate from Nazareth College in August 2016.

Yadira Rivera will graduate with her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in May 2016. Rivera is a student of the Greater Rochester Collaborative (GRC) Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Auburn site.
