Human Resources Management Program Earns Top Marks

Published August 22, 2016

Nazareth's graduate program in Human Resource Management is one of only two programs in upstate New York now recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for a curriculum that is fully aligned with what HR graduate students should study.

The Master of Science in Human Resource Management began in 2005, designed in collaboration with leading HR executives. The announcement from SHRM acknowledges that Nazareth's program "fully aligns with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates," which were created in 2006 and revalidated in 2010 and 2013.

"This further recognizes Nazareth as THE school for HR in western New York," said Albert C. Cabral, associate professor and director of the Nazareth master's degree programs in Human Resource Management and in Human Resource Development. "The SHRM approval means you can be confident that earning your master’s in Human Resource Management will teach you the competencies needed to make value-added contributions to your organization and to achieve long-term career success."

"In the increasingly complex and important field of human resources, it is essential to be knowledgeable, agile, and forward-thinking," Cabral added.
