Nazareth College Announces 2016 Commencement Speaker
Nazareth College is honored to announce that John Drain, senior vice president of finance at Hearst Television, Inc., will be the College’s 2016 Commencement speaker.
Drain, an alumnus of Nazareth College, graduated in 1983 with his bachelor’s in accounting. He received his master’s at Pace University, in which he is also a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership executive leadership program. Currently, Drain serves as a member on the board of trustees at the Nazareth College.
Drain began his career at Coopers & Lybrand as a certified public accountant. Prior to his position at Hearst Television, Inc., Drain was the senior vice president of finance and administration in 2002 for Comcast Spotlight, an advertising sales division of Comcast Cable Corporation. Within his position at Spotlight, Drain led all financial, human resource, and legal operations in addition to gaining extensive media and broadcast experience while working with: USA.Net, Sporting News Radio Network, New World Television, and Hughes Broadcasting Partners.
