Nazareth Alumna Named Assistant Director for HEOP Program

Nazareth College welcomes Ornella B. Matta-Figueroa as the assistant director of the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and Excel Program.

Matta-Figueroa is an alumna of Nazareth College, completing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with concentrations in history and women’s studies in 2005.  She pursued her master’s from Brockport, receiving an advanced certificate in non-profit management.  Prior to working at Nazareth, she was a program coordinator for Ibero American Action League.  Matta-Figueroa led the mentoring program and the summer of opportunity program while at her previous positions.
