Following up on the final update from Sergio Esteban and the presidential search committee, I would like to first thank the entire search committee for their efforts in this process. I believe I speak for the entire Board of Trustees when I say we are very impressed with the work that has been done and the quality of the candidates that the committee has recommended to us. This committee has put in countless hours of work, diligently reviewed dozens of applications, and has respectfully engaged in candid debate and deliberations to reach this point. The entire committee deserves a very strong thank you from the community for the work they have done. So, to the committee, a sincere thank you!
As Sergio shared, the committee presented their final report to the Board last week and we are moving forward with assessing the final slate of candidates. The confidential stakeholder feedback described by Sergio will provide important insight for the Board to assist in this crucial decision. My colleagues and I on the Board are mindful of the importance of this decision and appreciate the trust that you have put in us to carry it through. I pledge to all of you that we will be deliberate and thoughtful in our process and that we will be sensitive to the needs and shared values of the Nazareth community, for which we are committed to preserving and strengthening together.
While we cannot predict the timing of any announcement, we do hope to move swiftly over the next few weeks and will be in touch as soon as we have important information to share. We are excited and look forward to the opportunity to work with our new president to move Naz forward!
