Key things to know

The health and safety of our customers and our team members remains our highest priority. The bookstore follows all protocols set by the campus and state. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional safety measures developed in accordance with global and local public health recommendations (including the WHO and CDC) to make our store protocols even more rigorous:

  • We receive ongoing briefings on operating protocols, including best practices on virus prevention.
  • We have been, and continue to be, proactive in our approach to keep our stores clean. On a regular basis, we are wiping down counters and other frequently touched surfaces using hospital-grade disinfectant.
  • We provide masks, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and soap dispensers for employees.
  • We installed signage inside and outside the store with policies and guidelines.
  • We implemented social distancing measures, including floor tape, reduced occupancy, directional aisles, and spaced fixtures and checkout counters.
  • We require masks for all customers entering the store.
  • We incorporated other preventive measures including sneeze guards, contactless payment, e-receipts, off-limits areas (such as textbooks), and delivery drop zones.

How can I purchase my textbooks and school supplies?

We continue to process online orders for course materials and general merchandise for delivery direct to home. Course material orders will take priority and we will strive to ship them out within 1–2 business days. We have expanded our digital format availability of course materials which provides students access to materials immediately after orders are processed.

Can I still buy my textbooks at the bookstore?

Yes; however, you may experience longer wait times. The bookstore will limit the number of people in the store at once, and social distancing will affect checkout counters and cash registers. We encourage students to purchase course materials online and have them shipped to home before the start of the semester to reduce occupancy and wait times.

Can I order my textbooks online and pick them up at the bookstore?

Yes, but again, you may experience longer wait times. The line to pick up online orders will be limited to a certain number of students and will require 6-foot distances between individuals. We may implement staggered pickup times by last name. Again, we encourage students to have your order shipped to home for free.
