Aspirations: The Endless Journey

October 9, 2015 –
November 20, 2015 12 – 5 p.m.

Aspirations: The Endless Journey is a stunning exhibition of glass sculpture by Eunsuh Choi.

Korean-born Choi creates elegant pieces in which glass threads are intricately fused into complex arrangements evoking the textiles she studied in Korea; countless tiny glass rods are formed into a cube composed within a perfect hexahedron; or a succession of ladders, cages, boxes, and trees melt organic forms into structurally sound objects.

Her sculptures and installations can be seen in the European Museum of Modern Glass, Cafesjian Center for the Arts, Cafesjian Foundation, The Corning Museum of Glass, Rochester Institute of Technology, the Korea Craft Museum, Kim Young English Institute, and EU Glass. Choi was nominated as a searchlight artist by the American Craft Council in 2009 and received a talent award from the Jutta Cuny-Franz Foundation in Germany in 2013; her work has been featured in numerous magazines and periodicals.

Choi has been working glass for over 18 years.
