The Journey of Sir Douglas Fir

A 350-year-old Douglas fir tree yearns for change but gets more than it bargained for when it’s felled in a storm. Fortunately, a collection of forest friends helps the tree to a surprising destiny. This fanciful, music-filled account of an actual Canadian event is read and sung from Rochester native Ric Reitz’s book by a cast and chorus of musical theatre majors, accompanied by the Nazareth College Symphony Orchestra (Nancy Strelau, conductor).
