Saints and Prophets: Models for Today

Spiritual “guides do not show us how to be like them, but how to be more ourselves, how to find our own hidden gifts, how to respond to the sacred voice that issues from our own hearts and from the challenge of our time and place.”

Known to many for his daily entries on saints in Give Us This Day, Robert Ellsberg is the publisher of Orbis Books and the author of several award-winning books, including Blessed Among Us: Day by Day with Saintly Witnesses; All Saints: Daily Reflections on Saints, Prophets, and Witnesses for Our Time; and The Saints’ Guide to Happiness. As editor and publisher, he has worked to support writers in “exploring the global dimensions of faith, inviting dialogue with diverse cultures and traditions, and serving the cause of reconciliation and peace.”
