Los Angeles has a long history of producing top musical talent and in keeping with that tradition, The Filharmonic is the latest a cappella sensation to explode onto the scene.
Known for its appearance in Pitch Perfect 2, as well as for arranging and backing the popular Riff-Offs between James Corden and his special guests on The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Filharmonic first rose to fame after appearing on NBC's The Sing-Off. Each of these six Filipino-American performers—vocalists VJ Rosales, Joe Caigoy, Trace Gaynor, and Barry Fortgang; vocal bassist Jules Cruz; and beatboxer Niko Del Rey—have been singing since childhood.
The Fils “put on an effortless performance, dancing and just having a party” (Entertainment Weekly), delighting music lovers of all ages with their unique, urbanesque blend of pop, hip hop, and 90s nostalgia.
