This event is one of an on-going series of candidate support sessions for teachers pursuing National Board certification.
The National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) believes that every student deserves to be taught by an accomplished teacher. "National Board Certification was designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in schools nationwide. It is the most respected professional certification available in K-12 education.” (NBPTS website)
Nazareth College, in conjunction with the Greater Rochester Teacher Center network, works with National Board Certified teachers, trained as Professional Learning Facilitators, to provide candidate support for teachers in the Greater Rochester region interested in pursuing National Board certification.
