Individual Sonorities: Works for Solo Viola
Alexander Trygstad, viola
The past century has yielded a great proliferation of new works for solo viola, one that is unmatched in previous eras. In conjunction with evolving solo virtuosity, the viola has now attained the prominence of a significant instrumental voice. This program features works composed by Paul Hindemith, Garth Knox and others, coupled with a solo suite of J.S. Bach.
