Artist Andy Needle’s paintings depict rock formations and the subtlety of the forms, textures, and color in these surfaces. Inspired by the scientific observation of John Constable’s meteorological studies and the obsessive patterning of artists Chuck Close and Neil Welliver, Needle’s paintings focus on the changes time brings to all things, and time’s power to transform even the most resistant of objects. Free and open to the public.
Opening Reception: Friday, September 14, 5 p.m.
