Dear Members of the Nazareth College Community, Please join us for a period of reflection on Thursday, November 8, 2018 to share your thoughts and experiences on the Veterans in your life. This event will allow you to share your personal experiences, listen to the experiences of others or just share in a moment of personal reflection. The commemoration will take place in Linehan Chapel from 12:10pm to 1:00pm. All are welcome. Veterans Day is an official United States public holiday, observed annually on November 11 that honors military veterans. This federal holiday was originally known as Armistice Day, marking the official end of World War I and was commemorated for the first time in 1919. The U.S. holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954, to honor veterans from all wars. Veterans Day should not be confused with Memorial Day, another U.S. public holiday that remembers those who died while in military service. ~ Sponsored by the Office of Veterans' Affairs and the Center for Spirituality
