DESCRIPTION:<p>Latin-pop singer and songwriter Gina Chavez is a 10-time Austin Music Award winner and NPR Tiny Desk concert series performer known for passionate\, bilingual songs that traverse cumbia\, bossa nova\, vintage pop\, reggaeton\, and folk. With dynamic vocals and sharp social commentary\, Chavez and her band take audiences on a journey through the Americas\, expertly blending sounds with tension and grace.<\p>\n<p>In 2014\, her bilingual album <em>Up.Rooted<\em> topped both the Amazon and Latin iTunes charts following a feature on NPR's <em>All Things Considered<\em>.
