DESCRIPTION:<p>Anny Ostau De Lafont is a Rochester-based\, Colombian-born\, Caribbean artist. Anny is passionate about Museums and Art\, and the essential role they play in connecting people and reminding us what living is really all about. Her acrylic paintings depict the world through a Latin lens that vividly distills its color\, form\, and rhythm. She combines cultural elements from her own roots with references from other cultures that inspire and awe her. Her pieces establish a dialogue between the increasingly interconnected global village in which we live with her local Caribbean roots. Anny has a B.A. in Art Conservation and a postgraduate degree in Cultural Management\, areas where she has worked extensively in Colombia\, Germany\, Spain\, and the U.S.<\p>
