Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) is one of the largest state colleges in Ireland. WIT is comprised of six academic schools with 14 departments and 650 full-time academic staff. Total enrollment is approximately 8,500, with 7,000 full-time and 1,500 part-time students. Academic areas of study include business, education, engineering and architecture, humanities, health sciences and nursing, science and informatics.

Program Highlights:

WIT has partnerships with more than 100 universities worldwide leading to a diverse international student population from more than 60 countries. Students come from the U.S., Europe, Canada, Australia, South America, Africa, the Middle East and the Far East. WIT has made a significant investment in its facilities in recent years, including the Luke Wadding Library, Walton ICT Building, O’Connell Bianconi Nursing and Heath Sciences Building, and ArcLabs Research & Innovation Centre.

Costs

Students pay Nazareth University tuition and retain their full Nazareth financial aid packages. Payment for accommodations are arranged and made directly with WIT.

Accommodations

WIT offers high-quality campus-managed student accommodations that are safe, affordable, pleasant, and ideal for studying and living. All campus accommodations are near the Institute and are fully equipped with 24-hour security plus serviced launderettes.

Each student is provided with a single room with a private bathroom and internet connection. Students share a modern kitchen and living room with two or three other students.

WIT does not have a formal “meal plan”, but there are six dining locations on campus for meals.
