Nazareth Hires New Director of Health and Counseling

Nazareth has named Susan Quinn the College’s director of Health and Counseling.  She will be responsible for fostering the physical and emotional well-being of students, through ensuring the provision of trusted comprehensive, quality medical and counseling services.  In addition, Quinn will focus on outreach and wellness prevention services offering high-quality health education programs throughout the academic year, and engaging in collaborative relationships across campus in order to reach as many students as possible.

Quinn is board-certified in family practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.  She received her bachelor’s degree in professional and technical communications from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1992, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Keuka College in 1998, and a master’s degree in advanced practice nursing from St. John Fisher College in 2008.  Prior to accepting this position, Quinn was a practicing family nurse practitioner within a local family practice affiliated with UR/Thompson Health. She also spent time working as a nurse practitioner in the emergency department at Strong Memorial Hospital.
