The Nazareth College Young Scholars Program has received a $5000 grant from the B.A. Rudolph Foundation to support five women in the Young Scholars program with $1000 scholarships for the 2016-17 school year.  These scholarships are given to students who embody the goals of the B.A. Rudolph Foundation with the intention of alleviating some of the burden of the cost of higher education.  The selection criteria includes a required GPA of 3.0 or higher, exceptional leadership skills, dedication to the community, as well as being socially responsible, progressive, and driven.

The Nazareth College students earning the B.A. Rudolph Foundation Scholarships include: Ashley Harford, Sabrina Joseph, Deja Antoine, Janee Greenidge, and Glory Egwuonwu., all from Brooklyn, N.Y. (pictured in this order L to R)

The B.A. Rudolph Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that aims to support women who are seeking to make a difference in their world. The Foundation’s mission is to advance and benefit young women through educational and general support for whom a small amount of support could make a significant difference. The foundation honors the late B.A. Rudolph, who served with President Bill Clinton, and passed away from cancer in 2011.  The organization provides support through internship and academic scholarships.
