New Business Organization & Management Graduate Degree Designed for Non-Business Student

Published April 13, 2017

Nazareth College’s School of Management is set to offer a master of science degree in Business Organization and Management beginning this fall.

This 10 month, 30-credit hour program is designed for non-business students with undergraduate degrees in the liberal arts and sciences, fine arts, health and human services, and education. Students will develop a holistic understanding of business and the convergence of elements required to create effective organizations.

“Overall, we want students to identify and learn about the leadership and management practices that contribute to the creation of work environments that foster employee motivation, morale, and performance,” says Gerard Zappia, dean of the School of Management at Nazareth College.

To accomplish this mission, the program places a strong emphasis on the human side of management and its long term role in creating successful organizations. This is a distinction from the traditional MBA degrees that focus more heavily on the financial and quantitative aspects of business.

Applications are being accepted for the fall 2017 cohort.
