Nazareth Hires New Vice President of Academic Affairs

Nazareth College has named Andrea Talentino as its vice president of Academic Affairs. The Academic Affairs Department is responsible for shaping and maintaining the academic learning community through preparing Nazareth students for meaningful careers and instilling a dedication to the idea of service. The department is in constant collaboration with faculty and other divisions of the college to provide an integrative and transformative learning environment that supports success for all students.  

“We had a very strong pool of candidates and have selected an outstanding individual to lead Academic Affairs,” said Nazareth President Daan Braveman. “Andrea’s academic background and success in higher education make her a valuable addition to the Nazareth community.”

Talentino previously served as the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Norwich University in Vermont. She has worked at a number of colleges including Drew University, Tulane University, Princeton University, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Talentino earned her bachelor’s degree in political science at Yale University, before completing a master’s and doctorate in Political Science from UCLA.

She began her role at Nazareth in March of 2017.
