Diversity Council

The Diversity Council is comprised of representatives from each of the diversity clubs within the Undergraduate Association. Alongside the Undergraduate Association's Vice President of Diversity Initiatives, they work together to educate the College community through programming, serve as a resource for clubs, and promote an environment that embraces other cultures. Join a Diversity Council club here!

All positions require students to positively represent the Office for Diversity & Inclusive Excellence Education. As representatives of the Office, students must portray a professional demeanor at all times and demonstrate high levels of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information. Responsibilities typically include: 

  • Assist in the creation and set-up of events and programs
  • Support and attend workshops, programs, and events hosted by the Office for Diversity & Inclusive Excellence Education
  • Provide administrative support to supervisor as requested (e.g. research, compiling notes, creating postings, answering phones, copying, etc.)
  • Creation of promotional materials for events
  • Planning and implementing education and program around History/Heritage Months and Days of Recognition
  • Maintaining spaces for Atlas Center and Diversity Resource Center
  • Serve as a positive role model by supporting and adhering to university policy and displaying positive academic and social behaviors
  • Actively educate and engage in the areas of equity, justice, and social responsibility for the purpose of building safe, healthy, and thriving communities
  • Other duties/projects as assigned
