LGBTQ+ Education and Advocacy Programs (L+.E.A.P)

The LGBTQ+ Education and Advocacy Program at Nazareth aims to provide support, nurture understanding, and create events that foster a sense of community for students, faculty and staff and allies who care about issues confronting LGBTQ+ community locally, nationally, and globally. Our program centers all issues relating to gender, sex, sexual orientation, counter narratives of heteronormative discourse and policies and practices that perpetuate these issues at Nazareth.

Nazareth College embraces our students' experiences through various lenses including sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. We foster a safe place throughout campus by educating, advocating, and collaborating with many support systems both on and off campus.

  • Promote events that challenge stereotypes, create awareness, and encourage dialogue among students, faculty, and staff
  • Provide SafeZone trainings for all campus constituents
  • Support Lambda, our campus LGBTQ+ student organization
