We provide leadership in promoting, securing, and administering external and internal funding to support the scholarly activities of Nazareth College faculty and staff members, consistent with the College's mission and commitment to service. In so doing, we provide support related to the articulation and development of fundable research and program agendas, the search for appropriate funding opportunities, proposal preparation and budget development, and reporting requirements and regulation compliance. Moreover, we provide review and preliminary approval of all sponsored program proposals to ensure that submissions are consistent with both the College's and the sponsor's guidelines, monitors and authorizes all expenditures to grant restricted accounts, and works with faculty to meet report deadlines.
In addition, the Office works with other relevant College offices to evaluate, formulate, and implement policies and procedures that promote research compliance across the College, and to ensure responsible growth and administration of sponsored activity. We ensure effective communications with appropriate College offices concerning grant reporting and oversight responsibilities, and works with these offices to ensure that grant-funded activities are in compliance with College policies, State and Federal regulations and the grant terms and conditions.
