The 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is available. The application is more streamlined than before and expands some eligibility for federal student aid.

Incoming Undergraduate Applicants

FAFSA Online Application Process

  1. Create an FSA ID — a user name and password — at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. A separate FSA ID is required for a student and parent (of dependent students). Each FSA ID user must have a unique email address. Keep your FSA ID, as you will need it to file a renewal FAFSA each year, sign federal loan applications, and access your student aid history online.
  2. Visit the Federal Student Aid website to complete a FAFSA online to apply for federal student aid. Nazareth University's FAFSA school code is 002779. (In typical years, FAFSA is available beginning October 1.) 
  3. New York State residents must complete the Express TAP application (ETA) online immediately following submission of the FAFSA. Nazareth University's Undergraduate TAP school code is 0525.
  4. Your Financial Aid Offer will be emailed to you. Once you set up your Nazareth credentials, you will be able to access your offer and the financial aid portal at My Financial Aid @ Naz.
  5. If your FAFSA is selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education, the Financial Aid Office will contact you to request particular information. See additional information regarding federal verification at Financial Aid Policies.
Returning Undergraduate Applicants

  1. Using your FSA ID Number from the U.S. Department of Education (if you have misplaced your FSA ID, you can retrieve it at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa), complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Nazareth University's school code is 002779.
  2. New York State residents must complete the Express TAP application (ETA) online immediately following submission of the FAFSA. Nazareth University's Undergraduate TAP school code is 0525.
  3. If your FAFSA is selected for verification, by the U.S. Department of Education, the Financial Aid Office will contact you to request particular information. See additional information regarding Federal Verification at Financial Aid Policies. Note: You will not receive your financial aid offer until verification requirements are complete.
  4. View your awards online at My Financial Aid @ Naz
  5. Note: To remain eligible for financial aid, returning students need to maintain satisfactory academic progress. See renewal requirements.
