Nazareth soccer standouts Ryan Foley ’14 and Amanda Sudore ’13 each were honored on their respective Capital One Academic All-District teams for 2012. The teams were selected through voting conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Foley, a junior midfielder from Waterford, Ireland, and Sudore, a senior defender from Ontario, N.Y., each were first-team selections in District 3 Division III, which encompasses all of New York state.
Foley completed the 2012 season as Nazareth’s third leading scorer with four goals and six assists for 16 points. In three seasons, Foley has 52 points on 17 goals and 18 assists. In the classroom, Foley has a 3.70 grade-point average as a physical therapy major.
Sudore enjoyed an honor-laden season for Nazareth in 2011 as she was named as a first-team All-American both athletically and academically by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. In 2012, Sudore had one goal and has anchored a defensive unit that has limited the opposition to less than one goal per game. She has a grade-point average of 3.66 as a communication sciences and disorders major.
