Nazareth College is pleased to announce Lawrence Peckham is the newest member of the College’s board of trustees. Peckham, of Webster, N.Y., is the founder of Xelus, Inc. (formerly LPA Software, Inc.), a computer software company based in Fairport, N.Y. He holds an M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Peckham has served on numerous boards, including the Center for Governmental Research, Greater Rochester Enterprise, Geva Theatre Center, and the American Heart Association. In addition, he served on the dean’s council of the School of Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo, chaired the open space committee for the Town of Webster in 2004, and also served on the Rochester Institute of Technology’s advisory board for its computer engineering technology program.
Peckham and his wife Nancy recently gave $2 million to name Peckham Hall, home to Nazareth’s new Integrated Center for Math and Science. Opened last August, the center will play an instrumental role in leading the way for Nazareth students to receive the very best in math and science education.
