Public Health Ambassadors
To support important public health efforts on campus, Nazareth has created new student employment opportunities as public health ambassadors. Public health ambassadors (PHA) will:
- help with outreach and infection prevention services
- help encourage safe social distancing practices
- help organize health information and distribute it through tabling events, orientations, classroom presentations, and other on-campus events
PHAs will be focused on helping students to understand and comply with the new procedures and recommendations to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public health ambassadors:
- Create signs, Instagram posts, informational handouts about the new policies & practices on campus, and messages about the importance of being a good member of the Naz community and keeping each other safe.
- Work at various locations on campus and encourage safe COVID practices (mask wearing, using proper exits and entrances etc).
- Help with COVID badge screenings on campusĀ
- Attend on-campus events to answer questions and share information
The public health ambassadors will be supervised by the Health and Counseling Center Outreach Coordinator, John Rigney.
