Tiempo Libre

Three-time Grammy Award-nominated Afro-Caribbean ensemble, Tiempo Libre is one of the hottest Latin bands today, celebrated for its sophisticated timba music—an irresistible, dance-inducing mix of Latin jazz and Cuban songs featuring exhilarating harmonies and seductive rhythms.

Originally from Havana and now based in Miami, the group’s seven classically trained musicians are on a mission to serve as ambassadors for their Cuban culture. True heirs to those musical traditions, they have been featured on The Tonight Show, Live from Lincoln Center, and Dancing with the Stars, as well as on Univision and Telemundo.

Since its inception in 2001, the band has delighted audiences in clubs and festivals worldwide (including the 2007 Rochester International Jazz Festival).
