Theater of War

Theater of War is an innovative public health project that presents readings of ancient Greek plays as a catalyst for town hall discussions about the challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their caregivers and families today.

Using Sophocles' plays to forge a common vocabulary for openly discussing the impact of war on individuals, families, and communities, these events are aimed at generating compassion and understanding between diverse audience.

Featured in this production:

  • Narrator Kathryn Erbe, known for her role on Law and Order: Criminal Intent
  • Melissa Fitzgerald, known for her role on The West Wing
  • Zach Greiner, known for his role on The Good Wife

Each performance is followed by community panelists' remarks and a facilitated town hall discussion. Panelists will include:

  • "Brother Wease" - radio host & Vietnam veteran
  • Judge Michael Jackson - Vietnam veteran and Cuyahoga County Judge
  • Nick Stefanovic - Afghanistan veteran and Veterans Outreach Center board member
