Civil Rights Journey Informational Meeting

This week-long journey through Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee will provide first-hand account of the remnants of slavery, Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement and how these historical events shape mass incarceration. The group will travel to Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery, Ala., and Memphis, Tenn., to visit historical sites, meet with activists, historians and scholars. The 2019 Civil Rights Journey will take place January 5 to 13, 2019.
