Cirque-tacular's Art of Circus

Discover “an art museum come to life” with dazzling circus performers, dancers, acrobatics, and a live band! Cirque-tacular Entertainment's The Art of Circus animates 30 iconic paintings through jaw-dropping acrobatics performed by an elite cast of world record holding acrobats.

Experience a kaleidoscope of novel interpretations of the styles, time periods, and stories that birthed these beloved images, with music by award-winning composer Jess Elder (Postmodern Jukebox). Experience the artistic masterpieces of Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Warhol, and more like you’ve never seen in this all-ages acrobatic fantasy!

Presented by Cirque-tacular Entertainment, whose winter-themed Snowkus Pocus delighted Arts Center audiences in 2015.

Featured paintings include: 

- Pablo Picasso, Family of Saltimbanques (1905), National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. 

- Georgia O'Keefe, Grey Lines with Black, Blue and Yellow (1923)

- Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, At the Moulin Rouge: The Dance (1890), Philadelphia Museum of Art

- Leonardo Da Vinci, Vitruvian Man (circa 1490)

- Lascaux Cave Paintings, near  village of Montignac, France (approx. 17K years old)

- Henri Matisse, Dance (1910) 

- Additional masterpieces will be featured!
