Women of Color Group

The purpose of this group is to provide women of color a supportive space to share their experiences at Nazareth College. The group will be open to all women of color (students) on campus and will focus on issues surrounding: colorism, woman on woman verbal assault, self-worth/self-esteem at a predominately white institution, combating and confirming stereotypes, dating, hair, relationships and feelings of being silenced. These topics will be explored through therapeutic creative processes in response to cultural images, spoken word, reading and discussion of scholarly articles and film.
