NAAAS Regional Conference

As stated in our Diversity Statement, Nazareth College embraces a society that is both diverse and inclusive, and values both respect for the person and freedom of speech. This innovative three-day conference will explore a wide-range of diversity-related topics. Join us for individual sessions and workshops or the entire conference. A final schedule will be posted the week prior to the conference.

he Regional Conference of the National Association for African American Studies and Affiliates (NAAAS) will be co-hosted by Nazareth and St. John Fisher Colleges on October 3-5, 2019. The theme of this conference is Creating Racial Equity in the 21st Century. This innovative inter-institutional collaboration will address a wide array of diversity related topics that will be of interest to faculty, staff, students, administrators, board members, alumni—- as well as other Education Advocates; Business, Government, Not-for- Profit, Mental Health Practitioners; College Students; Religion- Campus Ministry, Sustainability Advocates, Art Activists, & many more. We ask that you consider attend some of the sessions, including the key note by Dr. Keith Jenkins VP RIT and Assoc. Provost D & I, special programming including the Douglass - Anthony segment and a host of presentations.

We ask that you pre-register so we can be sure to have proper accommodations. There is no cost to attend!
