A safe & inclusive space to freely practice and preserve a traditional Native American language indigenous to the Mohawk tribe of the Six Nations and Haudenosaunee People, also known as the northeastern Iroquois Confederacy. Of the many dialects of the Six Nations, this class uses the Akwesasne or St. Regis provisions. This space is a continuation of traditional practices of the native peoples, and is geared towards the preservation of what is considered an endangered language. This space is also a safe space for discussion about Native American and indigenous issues and culture. We welcome all native and non-native descendants to our class.
