Pride Power

The purpose of the group is to provide a healing and safe space for LGBTQ+ students and those questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. The group will touch on various topics related to the LGBTQ+ community, the intersections with other identities, and the challenges faced by those students on campus. The group is meant to be an empowering place where students can seek acceptance, guidance, and validation in their experiences. Topics may also include empowerment sessions where we focus on the LGBTQ+ community activists and their successes. The group will utilize art making to promote discussion, expression, and healing. Art therapy is great for anyone, whether you feel you're a good artist or not. Though you'll probably come out with some pretty neat pieces, the real experience in the creative process and dialogue after.
