Educating Changemakers

Sady Alvarado-Fischer '22G added master's degree holder to her growing list of identities. Fischer identifies herself as a proud queer, Latina mother of three, a life partner, community activist, and corporate director.

As the director of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Fischer leads the organization's diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy. "I have a responsibility to our employees to do that with all the right tools. To do that, I needed to advance my education and begin to reinvest in my own development."

She says her master's degree from Nazareth's School of Business and Leadership was designed well to work with her other responsibilities.
