I’ve always enjoyed teaching classes like Academic and College Success because the subject matter is all about preparing students for success in their lives. The freshman year is such an exciting time for students, but it can also be a time of high stress depending on the student’s level of independence and strength of study skills. Although it seems like forever ago, I remember this formidable time in my life vividly. I also remember the people that reached out to me and helped me succeed. I hope to be that kind of positive influence on the lives of students today.
