What I love about the field

Speech-language pathologists and audiologists can work in lots of different places — such as schools, medical settings, industry, and higher education. We work across the lifespan, from tiny babies up to older adults. And we work with lots of different aspects of communication. Before Naz, I worked as a speech-language pathologist in schools. It was rewarding to see students become able to communicate with teachers and peers, to be successful in school.

What’s strong about Naz?

Our classes tend to be pretty small, so I have time to get to know all of my students — and they get to know their classmates. I design lessons to include time when I’m teaching for students to work together to engage with the content, when I can go around and answer questions.
