Marie has over two decades of community-based experience as a youth worker, group worker, family therapist, and not-for-profit agency administrator. She has taught undergraduate and graduate social work courses at Syracuse University and Indiana University as an adjunct faculty member. She has also published journal articles and book chapters about youth work and the principles of youth development.
“The relationships built between the CYD program and those in the community are unmatched by any other program that I’ve been a part of, or worked with before, at the college level,” says Isaac Bliss, director of family and youth services at The Community Place of Greater Rochester.
“The integration between students at Nazareth coming down and meeting with the young people in our after-school program is amazing."
