Raymond Shiner Jazz Award Big Band

Back by popular demand, the Raymond Shiner Jazz Award Big Band, led by Steve Frank, conductor will feature past award winners and other jazz notables. Donations to the Raymond Shiner Jazz Award for Nazareth College music majors with talent and motivation in the area of jazz will be accepted

This concert will be live-streamed.

The Raymond Shiner Jazz Award was established by Kristen Shiner McGuire in 2000 in honor of her father, Raymond Shiner, who was a world class jazz and classical musician as well as a beloved teacher. We have given awards to "music majors with talent and motivation in the area of jazz" to at least one student per year since that time. The Raymond Shiner Jazz Award Big Band is made up of local professionals and former winners of this award. Free will donations to the RSJA are accepted.
