9 to 5, The Musical—with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton—is based on the hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge is outrageous, thought-provoking, even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with their sexist, egotistical, lying boss. In a hilarious turn of events, they live out their wildest fantasy—giving the boss the boot! Even in a man’s world, the women learn there is nothing they can’t do. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she?
