Back to the Future, Forward to the Past
Nancy Strelau, conductor
Jacob Ertl, piano
Tigran Vardanyan, violin
Daan Braveman, narrator
In this program of mutable musical perspective, George Gershwin looks ahead by merging the jazz idiom with the classical realm with his Concerto in F, Max Richter's Vivaldi Re-Composed touches the past by means of a modern-day re-invention of the Baroque, while Aaron Copland's A Lincoln Portrait, in both music and word, remains as timeless as when it was first written. Featured will be Jacob Ertl, piano, Tigran Vardanyan, violin and Daan Braveman, narrator.
This concert will be live-streamed.
