Zen Meditation

December 4, 2018 7 – 8 p.m. August 28 – December 4

All students, staff and faculty are invited, and no experience is necessary!

- Brief introduction to the practice of zazen
- 2 rounds of a 20-minute sitting, each followed by 5 minutes of walking meditation (kinhin)
- end with a few minutes for questions and comments

Roy Stein is a professor in the School of Management and director of the Nazareth College Music/Business program. His formal practice of Zen Buddhism and Zen mediation (zazen) began in 1991 as a member of the Rochester Zen Center. Currently, he is a formal student of Zen Master Roshi Rafe Martin and practices regularly at Rochester’s Endless Path Zendo.

Chairs, meditation benches and cushions will be provided.
