Writing as a Tool for Social Justice

In this workshop, students and community members will examine the power of poetry to express, convince and engage. 

Attendees will discover that poetry's tool sharpen attention, so every poem becomes a vital sign - an extension of one's heart and thoughts put in action, shared with the world. 

About the presenter:

Kitty Jospé is a poet and a former teacher of French. She has published five books of poetry and leads two weekly poetry appreciation classes. Since 1998, she has been a docent at the Memorial Art Gallery and enjoys guiding people to see how art and word invite the imagination.
