Students enrolled in our program receive intensive instruction in the four components of English language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Classes are offered in summer sessions and in the spring and fall semesters, during which students are in classes for 20 hours per week. All students participate in pre-semester placement testing and are placed in classes appropriate for their proficiency level.
The English Language Institute is accredited through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA). Nazareth College is able to issue an I-20 form to obtain a student visa.
We offer three program options:
Students interested in enrolling in a degree program after studying in the English Language Institute should apply to both Nazareth College Admissions and the American Language Institute. Please contact Dr. Sam Song for more information.
Throughout the academic school year, we offer semester-long courses geared towards preparing students for success in U.S. classrooms. This Academic Intensive English Program is offered during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
During the summer, we offer various 2-3 week English language and cultural immersion programs. These programs are designed to provide prospective students/scholars and professionals with enriching language and cultural experience to meet their academic and professional needs. For more information, please contact Dr. Sam Song, Director of the Institute, at 585-389-2959
