Interlibrary Loan, or acquisition of materials on your behalf from another library, is a free service that is available to faculty, staff and current students. To register for Interlibrary Loan services click on the First Time Users link.
What cannot be requested through ILL?
Materials owned by Naz that have a circulating capacity within/or outside the Library (i.e. Reference Material, Course Reserve Material, etc.) are not eligible for interlibrary loaning.
Password: Login to ILLiad and click the "Forgot Password?" link.
ILLiad will send a new password to the e-mail address you have listed in your ILLiad account. It will take a moment. You will have a limited amount of time to use and change the new password before it expires, so be sure to assign yourself a new password immediately. If you have not received an email response from the system, please contact the ILL Office to reset your password and verify your email address.
If you are unable to reach an ILL Staff Member, and you need to place your ILL requests immediately, please re-register.
Renewals can be submitted through ILLiad if your material:
To renew, log into your ILLiad account. Under "Checked Out Items" locate your piece and click the Transaction Number. Then click the "Renew Request" link located in the upper left corner.
Remember, if your material is due, or you are seeking a second renewal you need to contact the ILL Office.
The ILL Office will contact the Lending Library regarding your renewal and will update the Due Date in your ILLiad record if the Lending Library grants it. We will e-mail you the Lending Library's response.
If your request has been denied you will need to return the material by the due date provided in the e-mail.
You may place another request in the ILLiad system using the Clone Request feature to obtain a copy of the same piece from another library.
While we do not ban requesting textbooks through ILL, this practice is HIGHLY discouraged for the following reasons:
Are a currently enrolled Nazareth Student? Or currently employed Faculty or Staff member? You are eligible to use the Document Delivery Service!
What is Document Delivery?
We offer a retrieval and hold, or retrieval and scan service for Nazareth owned materials. If we own it and you need it, submit a request through ILLiad and we'll do the rest! Held materials will be available for pick-up at the Main Circulation Desk. Scanned materials are delivered electronically to your ILLiad account.
Turn around time will be 24-48 hours during normal work hours. Evening and weekend hours are limited.
Note on Restrictions
Due to U.S. Copyright Law the Library is prohibited from copying an entire work, multiple chapters from a single work, or multiple articles from one journal issue.
Please follow the procedures listed below to ensure accurate registration, privacy of personal ILL activity for both the Faculty member and Graduate Assistant, and accessibility to the shared account.
It is extremely important to have your Graduate Assistant place ILL requests for you under this joint account and not his/her personal account.
Preferably through OCLC. But we will accept ALA, phone or e-mail. Non-OCLC libraries may also register and submit ILLs through our ILL system. To register to use our ILL system, please click - Login.
For non-reciprocal libraries, we charge you what you charge us. Libraries requiring special shipping such as Same Day/Next Day FedEx Service, please provide account number for billing. Overseas libraries, with the exception of Canada, if shipping costs exceed $20.00 USD you must be willing to pay half the cost of shipping the material to your library.
The loan period for all material is 12 weeks with the option to renew.
