Nazareth College Welcomes Dianne Oliver as College of Arts and Sciences Dean

Nazareth has named Dianne Oliver as its new dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Oliver is currently a professor and associate dean at the University of Evansville in Indiana.  Oliver begins as dean at Nazareth on July 27.

Nazareth College Hosts Global Citizenship: The Next Generation Living in a Pluralistic World

Nazareth College’s Hickey Center for Interfaith Studies and Dialogue is pleased to present the Fifth Annual Global Citizenship Conference.This event is a full-day conference for high school students to provide tools to respond to intolerance, improve religious literacy, and possess the etiquette required to work in a pluralistic world. Karen Magnuson, editor and vice president of the Democrat and Chronicle, will be the guest speaker. She speaks from 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. in the Otto A. Shults Community Center gym. Well-Known Folk and Gospel Duo Kim and Reggie Harris Perform at Nazareth College, Jan. 28

Nazareth College’s Institute for Pluralism and Center for Spirituality are pleased to welcome Kim and Reggie Harris for a folk and gospel performance on campus. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa., the Harris’ hope to bring their African-American roots to Nazareth and sing of life, love, the quest for freedom, environment, and community.  The performance will take place on Wednesday, January 28 at 7 p.m. in the Linehan Chapel of the Golisano Academic Center.

Eight Nazareth Students Headed to Miami for the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U)

In its second year of involvement as a CGI University Network member with the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), Nazareth College is sending eight students to CGI U 2015 at the University of Miami in early March.  CGI U accepted seven of Nazareth students' Commitments to Action (project applications), up from six projects last year, ranging from economic development for women in Haiti to a smartphone application for youth mental health.

Composer Lawrence Siegel Hosts Lunch and Learn at Nazareth, Jan. 15

Earlier that day, Siegel is speaking at Nazareth College for a free and open to the public “Lunch and Learn” from 12:10 - 1:05 p.m. The event will be in the Nazareth College Arts Center Auditorium 14, in the lower level of the Arts Center at 4245 East Avenue.  Guests should park in the Arts Center lot (entrance with traffic light off East Avenue in Pittsford).
