Dempsey Appointed to Beston Chair and Jones Appointed to Schmitt Chair

Nazareth College is pleased to recognize Corinne Dempsey and Laura Jones to the Rose Marie Beston Chair for International Studies and Killian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt Chair, respectively. Dempsey is an associate professor of religious studies and will serve as chair from August 2014 to May 2018. Jones is a professor in language, literacy and technology and will serve from August 2014 to May 2016. Faculty members in these positions pursue various research projects, lectures, and presentations.

Faculty that are nominated for the Beston Chair demonstrate excellence in the teaching of subjects including, but not limited to, the languages, economics, political science and history of world regions, peoples, and cultures.

Faculty members that are nominated for the Schmitt Chair demonstrate ongoing teaching excellence, scholarship, and contributions in their academic field of study.
